FAQs

Here are typical frequently asked questions that shoudl dispell some of the myths and answer some of your common queries...

I'm nervous...

Our classes are for ladies only and are held in our secure dance studio. Nudity is not allowed and neither are spectators. Everyone in the classes are of the same level and there is no pressure to perform or do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable.

What is involved in the class?

The class form starts with a 10min warm up. We then progress onto different moves before combining these into a routine over the course period. Before the cool down, we have a playtime which gives students a chance to practice or have some 1 on 1 instructor time.

What should I wear?

Wear something comfortable. Shorts are best as we use our legs to help grip the pol (don't worry, we have flattering lighting to hide any pale legs!) Absolutely no oils or moisturisers should be applied on the day of the class for your own safety. Bring a bottle of water or your favourite soft drink with you in case you get thirsty. Bare feet are good, but always bring a pair of heel incase the mood take you to pop them on! Please remove all jewellery.

Class etiquette

Please arrive on time for classes, or at least 5 minutes before the start of your class.

If you are more than 5 minutes late you maybe refused entry due to not participating in the warm up. The warm up helps to avoid injury (health and safety).

Please do not wear oils or body lotions on the day of the class as you will not be able to grip the pole properly (health and safety).

Please listen when the instructor is talking/demonstrating as they will be sharing information that is important for you to know regarding your safety and enjoyment.

Please do not wear jewellery. Finally, please enjoy yourself!

How many poles are there?

This depends on class numbers, our maximum ratio is 3 ladies to a pole for beginners, progressing up to 1 lady per pole at advanced level. We have use XPOLES in our classes, which can be purchased for home, we have 5 of these.

Deposits for course must be paid 1 week prior to the start date. Outstanding money is to be paid on the first class by either cash, cheque or bank transfer. No payment, no course. Missed classes will be forfeited.
